- Third-Party AI Tools: No Google user data obtained through Workspace APIs is transferred to third-party AI tools for generalized model development. Data shared with third-party services is solely for providing specific functionality and complies with all applicable privacy and data regulations.
- Commitment to Compliance: We ensure that data obtained through Google Workspace APIs is used only as necessary to provide app functionality, strictly adhering to user consent and Google’s Workspace API User Data Policy.

17. Slack API Integration
Our application integrates with the Slack API to provide ability to send messages to Slack channels, execute slash commands, listen to Slack events, and more. By connecting your Slack workspace to our application, you authorize us to access and process your Slack data as described below.
Scopes and Permissions
We request the following permissions to enable key features of our application:
- app_mentions:read: To monitor and respond to app mentions for automated actions or workflows.
- channels:history: To access the message history of public channels for processing or responding to user queries.
- channels:join: To allow the app to join specific channels as part of its functionality.
- channels:read: To retrieve a list of channels and associated metadata for integration purposes.
- chat:write: To send messages to users or channels on your behalf.
- chat:write.public: To post messages in public channels as permitted by you.
- commands: To execute slash commands for triggering app functionality.
- groups:history, groups:read: To access message history and metadata of private groups (with permission).
- im:history, im:read, im:write: To interact with direct messages, including reading and writing messages.
- mpim:history, mpim:read: To access history and metadata of group direct messages (multi-party instant messaging).
- users.profile:read: To retrieve user profile details for personalizing interactions.
- users:read.email: To access user email addresses (if required for functionality).
- users:read: To access user data, such as display names and other profile information.
How We Use Slack Data
We access and process Slack data solely to provide and improve the functionality of our services. Specifically:
- Message History: Used to process and respond to interactions, including automations and notifications.
- User Profiles: Accessed to personalize experiences and provide context-specific functionality.
- Channel and Group Metadata: Used to identify appropriate channels for app interactions.
- Direct Messages: Utilized for one-on-one communication and responding to user-initiated requests.
